Bruce Marden

The works from Marden are very interesting to see. They look very similar to the test plate that Tom Martin made in our Etching Workshop (See Posts). I feel like the blocky ness and the idea of making a more solid mark would be something that interests me. This is because during the etching workshops even though the work I made I enjoy a lot, I also struggled how to know what was ‘good’ marks to make. Marden inspires me to make more basic shapes and forms to develop further in my practice.
